2019 Step Big Walk for Parkinson's: Online Registration is Open!

 

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 24th, 2019 for the Step Big Walk for Parkinson's at the Sioux Falls Canaries Baseball Stadium. Invite your family members, friends, coworkers to join us for a day of coming together to support those touched by Parkinson's disease.

 

Who will you be walking for...your mom, your dad, your grandpa, your grandma, a friend, or a coworker? Join us for a fun filled day out at the Canaries Baseball Stadium where you will have the opportunity to walk the inside of the beautiful baseball field. We will have exhbitors there from local and surrounding communities that will have valuable information to share. We will also have a fun kids area with face painting, an inflatable and games. Stay after the walk to enjoy some bagels, donuts, fruit and refreshments. Sign your team up today!

Stress-Busting For Family Caregivers

This 9 week class offers support and coping skills for caregivers of people living with dementia. Stress can have a negative effect not only on the body, but mind and spirit as well. Class content includes: stress and relaxation, challenging behaviors, grief, loss and depression, coping with stress, positive thinking, and taking care of yourself. Classes are offered in Vermillion at the Sanford Hospital (102 S Plum Street). Classes are held every Wednesday, June 5th - July 31st from 1:30 - 3:00 pm. Pre-registration is required...please call 605.333.3319 for more information. Free respite care is available if needed.
