2020 Parkinson's Annual Picnic

Thank you to all those that attended the 2020 Annual Parkinson's Picnic event held on July 15th at the Edith Sanford Cancer Center in Sioux Falls. It was a lovely day with over 30 attendees and even more that joined us via the Zoom online format. We remembered those we lost this past year with family and friends present and we enjoyed hearing from some amazing presenters and some special music throughout the day.

We also recognized two individuals with the 2020 Friend Award. Lisa Howard, director of the Rock Steady Boxing program at The Inn on Westport received this award for her continued dedication and passion for helping families touched by Parkinson's disease. And Cherie Ortman also received this award for her dedication to the Parkinson's community in providing her beautiful musical talents at support group meetings and events over the years. Both individuals were very deserving of this award and we are inspired by both of them each and every day.
