Why the Tulip?

The tulip has been associated with Parkinson’s Awareness since 1980 when J.W.S. VanderWereld, a Dutch horticulturalist diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, developed a red & white tulip to honor Dr. James Parkinson.

 

The South Dakota Parkinson Foundation (SDPF) and Landscape Garden Centers have partnered together to help raise awareness about Parkinson's disease and spread some springtime cheer by selling beautiful potted tulip arrangements.  SDPF would like to THANK YOU for your support. Proceeds remain within the state of SD to support individuals living with Parkinson’s, their families, carepartners and the Parkinson's community.
